Checking Bandwidth with iPerf3

Download the latest iPerf3 for Windows

Extract the files and copy them to your server and to a client.

The Server

Add a firewall rule to allow iPerf3.exe

New-NetFirewallRule -DisplayName "iPerf3" -Direction Inbound -Program "C:\iperf3.exe" -Action Allow -Profile Domain,Private,Public

or

Open Windows Firewall Manager

Right click Inbound Rules -> New Rule -> Program -> Browse -> Browse to the iPerf exe -> Allow the connection -> All profiles -> Name it iPerf

Open a terminal in the iPerf directory and run:

.\iperf3.exe -s

The Client

Open a terminal in the iPerf directory and run:

.\iperf3.exe -c <server-ip-address>
